Griot Enterprises has been on the move. Even though our latest Kickstarter campaign did not reach its goal (we will relaunch in June), this spring has seen us pop in various states and at various conventions. We’re still out there spreading the good word. Here’s what’s coming soon:

ECBACC & THE GLYPH AWARDS
The Horsemen: Birth of the Spark has been nominated for the fabled Glyph Awards sponsored by the Black Age of Comics Convention! After receiving the Pioneer/Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019, the Horsemen creator has been recognized in the 2023 Best Writer category and will contribute an article to the convention’s collectible program.
In addition, Anderson will join (virtually) Sheree Renée Thomas (Author / Editor, Dark Matters), Aaron Beatty (Founder of Heruary), and Richard Tyler II (aka Jaycen Wise / Founder of Black Heroes Matter [BHM]) in the Afrofuturism and Black Comics panel May 7th at 11a.m. EST during the con… Hope some of you can get in on the conversation!

Finally… Griot has come back to Detroit!
Griot Enterprises will make its presence felt once again at the Motor City Black Age of Comics Convention, June 3-4. It’s been a minute since the “Vanguard of Entertainment” attended a show in its hometown, an oversight that will be corrected just in time for the warm weather to arrive in Motown. We’re looking forward to reconnecting with the home team that weekend!
The end of spring/ beginning of summer is going to be one filled with fun and excitement. Hope to see some of the Griot Nation out on tour this upcoming season!
