What’s happening, fam?
I know, I know… It’s been more than a minute since I posted. That’s just the nature of the business; work had to be done… And it so not over as of yet. But, there is a lot on the horizon, I’m very excited about what’s going on. Wanna see a little bit into the future? Here we go…
Taletown is moving full steam ahead! We got the writers, the programmers and the artists… We got a team, fam! Take a look at the covers from some of our upcoming e-books. We’re doing fantasy, sci-fi, horror, action, we’re doing it big y’all! Be on the look out for Little Sherlock by Joshua Alan Doetsch and Pyre’s Bones by Eric A. Cherry coming very, very soon (Psst! Also check for Vincible by Jude W. Mire with a cover from yours truly… It’ll be posted within the next couple of weeks…)!
I’ve been working with The Ex-Senators for the past 6 months. These guys are the real deal, the “Justice League” of music. Picture this: get a group of musicians with a resume that includes working with the likes of George Clinton, Mary J. Blige, The Fugees, Aretha Franklin & David Bowie and put them in a room together. Better yet, let them tell you who they are in their own words (besides, I’m tired of them standing over me menacingly while I write this)…
The Ex-Senators are the slick snake-oil salesman that shakes your hand, grabs your wife’s bottom and picks your pocket at the same time. The Ex-Senators are the punchline to every dirty joke you’ve ever heard — and most of the ones you’ve told. The Ex-Senators are two steps ahead of the law and twelve steps away from recovery. The Ex-Senators are experts at cross-wiring the ragged fury and political agitation of Social Distortion and “Against Me!” with the sure-fire tunefulness of The Foo Fighters. The Ex-Senators are that one whiskey too many at closing time at your local bar. The Ex-Senators are Dmac, Van, Phabulous GJ, Clyde and Thumper — and if those sound like pseudonyms, it’s because all names have been changed to protect the guilty.
Their first single, “Start A Fight,” will be dropping very soon. Guess whose doing the animated video? That’s right… Get Money.
The Horsemen: Book Of Olorun #3
We are pushing forward on the main vein for 2011. 18 pages are in the can and it’s gonna be the sleeper hit of the year! I’m really excited about how the book is progressing. Also, thanks to everyone who supported the Kickstarter drive. I’ll write more about that in a future post coming in the very near future. Here’s a little taste of what’s to come. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the God among gods, the Lion of the Orisha… Olorun.
And there is so much more to come. Be on the lookout for the upcoming Chicago Afrobeat Project‘s new release, Nyash Up!, coming this summer with a cover by yours truly and Dj Lady D‘s Hot D’Tour 2011 beginning this summer as well. Well, gotta get back to it… I’ll holla at you very soon. Cheers!
